They say living alone is unhealthy and expensive - Who can be bothered to cook a proper meal just for one, and who can afford the waste for that matter. But it doesn't have to be that way..
I cook up curries, casseroles and bolognaise.. I have one lot as my main meal (with rice or pasta normally), then I separate the rest into easy to manage portions; I particularly like the 250ml rectangular tubs TD Online sell.
At 22p (even cheaper if you stock up), they're affordable, considering I can reuse them many times.
They have a great seal (as long as you make sure the lid 'clicks' when you press it on) and contain the smell when I pop them in the fridge (who wants the whole fridge smelling of curry / garlic etc)!
- I've even put them in the microwave - Which they cope well with (as log as you don't leave them in there too long).
It means I have a tasty topping ready for a jacket potato / pasta bake / 'ting-able rice' etc and can eat well without breaking the bank!
